The candidate for you in Hamilton East–Stoney Creek

Meet Heino Doessing. Proud Hamiltonian. Passionate Liberal.

Heino Doessing, Ontario Liberal candidate for Hamilton East–Stoney Creek

Heino Doessing was born and raised in Denmark, where he served as a municipal councillor and earned a graduate degree in economics. In 2010 he made the life-changing decision to move to Canada.

The family's Canadian story took them from Toronto to Saskatchewan before they settled in Hamilton, where they are raising their two young boys.

Heino has spent more than a decade working in finance, including with major Canadian accounting firms and large pension and private equity funds. That background gives him a practical, numbers-first view of what it actually takes to fund schools, staff hospitals, and keep life affordable.

Outside of work, Heino is an active community volunteer across Hamilton, and a proud Hamiltonian who believes this community deserves better representation, better opportunities, and better support at Queen's Park.

He is running for the Ontario Liberals because after years of Progressive Conservative government, families here are paying more and getting less — and the social and healthcare safety net Ontario built over generations is being chipped away.

Heino's priorities for Hamilton East–Stoney Creek

Hamilton East–Stoney Creek deserves better representation, better opportunities, and better support. After years of Progressive Conservative government, people here are paying more and getting less — and the social and healthcare safety net Ontario spent generations building is being chipped away.

1

Quality healthcare

Better access to family doctors, shorter waits, and care close to home for kids, parents, and seniors.

2

School funding

Every child deserves access to quality education, not one determined by where they live. Properly resourced schools set students up to succeed.

3

Community safety

Neighbourhoods where people feel safe walking home, opening a business, taking transit, and sending their kids to school.

4

Affordability

People are struggling with rising costs. Real relief on rent, groceries, and the everyday bills that keep going up.

5

Strengthening public services

Defending and rebuilding the social and healthcare safety net Ontario built over generations, instead of letting it be dismantled.

6

Economic growth

Good jobs and real investment in Hamilton East–Stoney Creek, so young people can build a future right here.
